Beautifully written and explained Nuno! You Da Man! We remain on opposite sides of BTC, but hopefully still friends!! ;). I won't directly take issue with your points, but with a the person who's comment you quoted:

The massive increase in BTC is not due to USD decreasing in purchasing power or inflation. The same amount of USD is needed to buy milk and eggs now as in January, when BTC saw a 100% increase (USD did not undergo a 50% decrease).
These are the kinds of quantitative errors being propagated by people like Sylvain which must be addressed and is misinforming people.
I agree with your concerns about security as eloquently expressed in your wonderful intro - but I feel BTC is not the solution. CBDCs (about which I just submitted for publication) is the correct solution for security, and stability of the national financial system.
