Believe me duuude, I want to do some woodworking too! ;).

I mostly make sawdust and mistakes.

I have nothing like what your dad had, and wish for that... some day perhaps.

I started with a simple project... I wanted to make a mallet. Made a list of the simple hand tools and supplies I'd need to do that, and did it. Then thought of another slightly more complex project, bought the tools and supplies for that... and that is how I got to where I am. I haven't gotten more tools because I haaven't built up the confidence to attempt more serious projects (or that the tools I had were sufficient to limp along and make everything I've wanted to do so far).

Anyways, whatever you make, from wood or anything else, I'd love it if you could write about it and submit it to my new Publication here. I followed your advise and started my own! ;)
