Errors are not bad - it is the institutional reluctance to admit error and to make fast, data-supported changes in policy. Admitting error and changing plans and policies is NOT seen by most normal, rational humans as a sign of weakness - it IS seen by political adversaries as an opportunity to point fingers - but that is a self-defeating tactic since no one is perfect and we ALL make mistakes.
