Goodness I, I just got shivers... recognition, jealousy, looove... your father's furniture strikes a deep chord, his appreciation for what others call defects but that are the imperfect root of beauty, his contrastic choice of light and dark woods, simple generous curves, letting joinery like his butterfly holding the natural split in the end-grain show through... I have a looooong way to go before I get anywhere close to your father. Eight chairs!! I struggle for a single simple bench. My boss asked me to make a simple end-table for his wife with a far-too generous offer ... but I hemmed and hawed until he quit asking.
