Hi Christine, I am an old duuude who hasn't learned to trust the internet, even tho I am finding many people like you who I like (all within Medium). Yet still, I prefer the anonymity and can't quite relinquish that. So far most have been patient with me on that score and I hope you can too. Perhap call me SD if duuude has poor associations! ;)
I think you raise an important point that indeed the immune system plays a key role in the most severe reactions to COVID-19 infection, and some people indeed have immune systems that over-react and begin to harm the patient insteaad of helping.
You are, I believe, correct in pointing at industrial toxins as one possible culprit in many of our chronic autoimmune problems widespread in society.
However, it is not corrrect to lump modern medicines in with industrial toxins. Overall modern medicines, and especially vaccines, are without doubt one of the most stunning successes of modern science (including the current development of mRNA-based vaccines against COVID-19).
Are there problems with the industrial and profit-driven means of drug production and distribution - without doubt. The system is not perfect and can be improved hugely. But what we have is immeasurably greater than 100, 200 or more years ago - we are lucky to live today than back then by a big margin even with all the ills.
We too haave an abundance of snow on the ground. Staying home today. Enjoy!!
Best,
SD
