Hi Daniel, Great article and thanks for the insights into Sunrun.

My only quibble is that current profitability should not be a barrier to successful investment - but a lack of a clear path to profitability sure should be.

My best examples of this are Netflix and Tesla, both of which I bought years before they became profitable. Now both are profitable. I had reasonable confidence because the paths their respective CEOs and management teams discussed made sense to me and I was willing to lock in my investment over that period of time and wait for their success. I'm still invested in both and plan to remain so for the foreseeable future because the future growth is insane.

If an investor is looking for lower risk investments with companies showing current profits - then I can understand the reluctance to invest in Sunrun-like companies.

The question is - is there a similar growth trajectory for Sunrun in their future?
