Hi Lee,

Thank you sooo much for the kind words and support! Wouldn’t it be nice to retroactively take awards away from undeserving humans? Not to excuse scientists, but they are human and products of their time - so sexism, racism, and every other *ism in society was as prevalent among scientist as well. So a great example is James Watson, the scientist who with Francis Crick discovered the double-helix structure of DNA - he stole the data that gave him the insight from a brilliant woman scientist named Rosalind Franklin, never gave her credit, the men around her all won Nobel Prizes, and she died of ovarian cancer at 37.

I hope that doesn’t disturb your sleep as it does me. We are slowly getting better, but the Me Too movement along with Black Lives Matter and others show we still have a way to go. But we have made some progress since the days of Watson and Manasseina.

Sweet Dreams!!
