Now think about this - what if many people believed that the goat entrails did say something worth listening to, but neither you nor the educated minority did believe it - yet you and a few others continued to spout goat entrail conspiracies.

Now are the goat entrails irrelevant to the discussion?

Or now should I try to explain that entrails are only entrails and a statistical study demonstrates that entrails have no predictive value…?

When you open up the context to who believes, who might believe, and who might influence future policy by their voting behavior - suddenly goat entrails are not irrelevant.

Right?
