Hi my friend,

I’m sorry for the delay - these buried comments get lost easily!

Proof of vaccine effectiveness is something I wrote about just recently for the RNA vaccines for COVID:

I agree with you that the pharmaceutic industry is not an ideal partner in our society - but an imperfect partner is far better than what we had 100 years ago or earlier.

I hope your husband pulls through with your doctor’s help. It sounds like his doctor is taking a systemic view, thinking through various interactions, which is a good thing. I know nothing about the drugs your doctor is or can prescribe, but yes, drugs are powerful chemicals that can have side effects. Those side effects can be anything from inconvenient, to life-threatening. The question is whether the balance between those side effects and risks and the cure of the main affliction (heart disease for your husband) are managed well - which your doc sounds to be doing.

I am not sure I agree with your closing comment that “…we are born to die …”

We are born. And we die.

We are not necessarily born TO die.

We are born to help make the lives of those around us a little bit better, to the best of our abilities. And then we can die in peace.

I hope I have made your life a little bit better today.

;)

Best,

Your friend,

SD
