I think hand-written letters, postcards, and even email are all worth reviving for the sake of getting off that evil platform! ;)

If you think about all the evil perpetrated and condoned on the site (and other social media platforms), it's the continuation of good people like you on FB that, forgive me for saying this, lets Facebook continue their own evil. FB are profiting from you. They know you won't leave purely from inertia and whatever reasons you tell yourself.

So stir yourself! You anger is palpable in this post here!

Another way to think about it is, you are facing a little inconvenience staying connected to friends as an excuse to continue giving FG money and success.

on the flip side, all the problems FB has caused, like 4 years of Trump, condoning hate speech while ignoring their automated abuse of sheep farmers and people like you... is worth at most a long, well-written post?

The effort you put into this post is more work than maintaining contact with your wind-scattered friends - without FB. I promise you.

Take the lead, quit FB, contact your friends by recycled xmas cards, and encourage them to do the same... and see where it goes.
