I totally agreed (a greed - sorry bad pun) with you that political economics applied to America has led us down to a new age of 19th century robber barrons and immense concentration of wealth and power... and we need a new Teddy Roosevelt to step in a break that power.
I don't fully agree that economics is totally rotten, and that here in the US we have standouts like Robert Shiller and Janet Yellen who focus on a bottom-up approach to economics and how decisions or trends are made.
