For RNA vaccines, that is something needed short term to get over a lethal pandemic - but the vaccine doesn't actually move us forward - like a fire department doesn't build a city, but it helps prevent it from burning down. Electric cars like Tesla's vehicles do not pollute anywhere near as much as combustion engine vehicles:
