Spot on! I'd offer one thought... corrupt culture is something we want to root out... But money on its own is not corrupt (tho I won't dispute that money tends to sully anything it touches). We use money every day - and our use of it doesn't make us feel our daily transactions suspect... we often feel "other" people handling money is corrupt. Money is like oxygen... necessary for life - but can be used to burn down a house or fire guns etc...
Same with lobbying - tho money and influence are involved - I contribute to Color of Change which is a group dedicated to lobbying for structural changes in social justice.
