Thank you for your wonderful comments and gorgeous photos… It is the cunning ones, the ravens, the jackals, Loki, the jester, who hold our fascination throughout time and across cultures, isn’t it?
And these attributes of mischief, teasing, play… may be the root of intelligence which our most vaunted scientific tests can’t reach… how do you query cunning or creativity? How do you control for these variables when trying to measure more mundane attributes like tool-use? Or counting?
And imagine the raven's language... mischief and play must be built into their speech, with more words for trouble than eskimos have words for snow... and the poems a poet like you could craft in a raven's tongue could stop the world in its orbit as it paused to listen!
