Thanks for your comments Simon! Hey, could you explain why open source is important to you? I've seen that comment several times on different boards, as well as the opposite with some defending having a closed system (the most recent comment I saw praised the tight and consistent engineering of the MATLAB functions due to a coordination of the various teams, yielding a higher quality package... I am paraphrasing probably badly and as a novice coder I don't really know what that means on a practical level - tho as an engineer I have an intuitive grasp of what the commenter meant).
