What a fun haiku and a wonderful explanation of topology via Mobius strips! You're probably aware of biological enzymes called topoisomerases which specifically try to unwind twists in DNA, which I always loved the idea of. I'm old enough to remember phones with those coiled wires and how they always got tangled, and then learning that cells have these topoisomerases whose sole job is unwinding those telephone cords!!! They cheat by snipping one strand of DNA, spinning the other to remove the stresses of coiling, then re-healing the snipped strand. I couldn't do that with the telephone cord without getting grounded for a month... ;). Most of y'all are too young to remember either telephone cords or being grounded (an old-fashioned and ineffective method of disciplining kids, named after how pilots were "grounded" for flying infractions). ;).
